Relish has a number of rugby enthusiasts on the team, and two of us (Simon and I) are kiwis. So huge relief and deep joy that New Zealand’s All Blacks have finally won the World Cup – although the final game was a lot closer than anyone expected it to be.
In recognition of this, I’ve made a traditional kiwi Bacon and Egg Pie ( a distant relation to a Quiche Lorraine, but one ‘real men’ can eat with real confidence and relish) for everyone tomorrow, while singing ‘Pokarekare Ana’ in the kitchen. Picture above shows that it is not my finest effort, but hope people appreciate the silver fern and rugby ball decoration.
